About the position

The Demand Planner (Forecast Analyst) plays a crucial role in understanding and forecasting business demand and supply. This position involves statistical analysis to identify trends, seasonality, and key business drivers, while also maintaining effective communication across various functions within the company. The primary responsibilities include preparing forecasts, building consensus among stakeholders, and continuously improving forecasting accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up, manage, and maintain forecasting models in SAP
• Serve as a functional expert in SAP forecasting/demand planning process
• Use pilot opportunities to test conclusions
• Gain consensus on resultant forecasts from Sales and Operations to develop a demand plan
• Leverage IT for collecting and cleansing data
• Provide graphical reporting and performance measurements
• Benchmark and work towards improving performance
• Develop planning strategies for new and discontinued products

Requirements

• A college degree is required, preferably in mathematics, statistics, or business
• Business and analytical or statistical work experience
• Quantitative background
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of associates and customers
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to develop positive interdepartmental relationships
• Proficient in Excel, Forecasting Software, and PowerPoint
• Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems
• Ability to work with multiple departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and IT
• Passion for learning with excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills
• Ability to prioritize projects and communicate direction internally and externally
