About the position

At Deckers Brands, we are excited to welcome a Demand Planner to our team, where every step is a promise kept. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our sales strategies are executed effectively and that inventory decisions are optimized. As a Demand Planner, you will be working remotely, collaborating closely with the Sales and Supply Planning teams to manage and analyze forecasting at the SKU level for HOKA footwear and apparel, specifically catering to the Canadian marketplace. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you develop demand forecasts by analyzing customer market trends, historical sales data, and current projections. This position requires a self-starter who is both strategic and analytical, capable of working independently while also thriving in a collaborative environment. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing analyses and presenting the impact of strategic forecast assumptions to various stakeholders within the organization. You will perform ongoing analysis to monitor actual performance against the forecasted plan, identifying significant variances and taking corrective actions as necessary. Additionally, you will coordinate and lead the demand consensus process, ensuring that all changes in the demand plan are communicated effectively and that consensus is achieved around key drivers. Your collaboration with supply planning will be crucial to ensure successful inventory management throughout the lifecycle of our items. Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons by analyzing customer market trends and sell through, lifecycle, historical sales, promotions, customer POs and current projections to improve forecast accuracy.
• Prepare analysis and present impact of strategic forecast assumptions to broader organization and various stakeholders.
• Perform ongoing analysis and monitoring of actual performance to forecasted plan, identify significant variances, take corrective actions, and detail assumptions.
• Coordinate and lead demand consensus process to identify changes in the demand plan, achieve consensus around key drivers, calling out significant changes, and forecasting accuracy.
• Collaborate with supply planning to ensure successful inventory management throughout item lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant work experience. Demand and Supply certifications a plus.
• High proficiency in Excel, along with a general understanding of PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required.
• Knowledge of any planning systems is beneficial, as well as Power BI and Tableau.
• Relevant work experience will be considered in buying, retail, planning, inventory management, operations, and other analytical fields.
