About the position

Cintas is seeking a Demand Planner I to create, maintain, and own monthly forecast models for assigned production groups and materials. This role involves inputting the monthly demand plan communicated by the Demand Analyst into the SAP APO system. The Demand Planner I will analyze each material's monthly forecast statistical model and finalize the consensus forecasts by distribution center and material as appropriate. This position requires managing system forecast alerts, forecast accuracy reports, and making necessary adjustments to forecasts utilizing the Demand Analyst demand plan. The Demand Planner I will interpret all customer and historic data to properly analyze information to aid in the development of the consensus forecast. Understanding the risk associated with the forecasts and the inventory investments being made is crucial, including adding new items, adding SKUs, and increasing sales forecasts. The Demand Planner I will review and assess liability documents for assigned materials in collaboration with the Demand Analyst and work with the Buying team on any associated risks and rollout timelines. Effective communication is essential, as the Demand Planner I will build relationships and trust with all cross-functional areas, ensuring to communicate and educate on forecasting concerns, observations, recommendations, and soliciting feedback accordingly. Participation in monthly demand meetings with different business divisions and monthly capacity reviews internally with Supply Chain leadership is expected. The Demand Planner I will proactively identify, resolve, and communicate issues surrounding the forecasts, ensuring management is informed and involved in issue resolution. Collaboration with Demand Analysts and the Buying team on assigned materials is also a key responsibility, working cooperatively with others to accomplish shared objectives and gaining the trust and support of managers and peers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and intranet/internet.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data and break it down into meaningful business information.
