About the position

The Demand Planner-Korean Speaking role at Nexen Tire America involves participating in the forecasting cycle and overseeing the tactical forecasting process. This position is integral to developing and implementing supply chain strategies that support business growth and profitability objectives, including customer satisfaction. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage the product lifecycle, from new product launches to inventory management and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for various time horizons.
• Review historical sales trends and prepare forecast data.
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile variances and refine forecast models.
• Interact with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
• Utilize a collaborative approach to ensure accurate information for demand forecasts.
• Maintain the Demand Planning software (SAP) as the primary forecasting tool.
• Provide input to develop inventory strategies for existing items and new products.
• Coordinate customer action plans with supply planning.
• Participate in defining the annual operating plan sales forecast.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Korean speaking is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, data processing, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in statistics, forecasting methods, and understanding financial impacts.
• Experience building relationships with internal and external customers.

Nice-to-haves

• Supply chain background or experience preferred.
• Knowledge of finance, sales, and marketing functions.
• Preferred experience with SAP demand planning software.
• Experience in forecasting and mathematical trend analysis.
