About the position

The Demand Planner & Marketplace Analyst (eCommerce) is responsible for leading demand forecasting, inventory management, and optimizing product performance across various e-commerce platforms, particularly Amazon. This role focuses on analyzing sales data, market trends, and competitive landscapes to ensure product availability and maximize profitability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical sales data and market intelligence to forecast product demand and manage inventory levels.
  • Monitor and analyze Amazon Best Seller Rank (BSR), sales velocity, and Buy Box performance to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Provide deep analysis of competitive landscapes and pricing strategies to inform product buy decisions and promotions.
  • Collaborate with procurement, marketing, and sales teams to ensure product availability aligns with demand and growth targets.
  • Develop product buy plans that align with forecasted demand, considering lead times and Amazon's inbounding timeline.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as BSR, sales velocity, and inventory turnover to drive data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of demand planning experience within e-commerce, with a focus on Amazon FBA.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and marketplace tools like Helium10 and Keepa.
  • Deep understanding of Amazon's BSR, sales velocity, and Buy Box dynamics.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with forecasting and inventory management in a retail environment.
  • Familiarity with additional e-commerce platforms like Walmart, eBay, and Shopify.
