The brand's iconic Hot Light lets consumers know when doughnuts are being made in the shop so they can stop in and enjoy them hot, right off the line. Our Krispy Kreme Demand Planner supports the Demand Planning process for Krispy Kreme. You will develop processes, tools, reports, and provide data analytics to support Krispy Kreme's supply chain strategic initiatives for our Shops and CPG team. The Demand Planner will be responsible for generating the item-location Demand Plan that will drive downstream supply chain and financial planning activities. The goal of this position is to continuously drive sales, customer service, and minimize returns and waste while simultaneously reducing raw and finished goods inventory through accurate forecasting. The role will be responsible for proactive collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning. Key to this role will be anticipating and understanding the needs of different stakeholders across the company relative to forecasting, turning assumptions into actionable plans, and providing insight into demand drivers to leadership. A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Develop and maintain forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation over a rolling 12-18 month planning horizon. Use historical shipment trends, consumption trends, customer inventory data, and demand assumptions to develop and refine the demand forecast. Lead cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances or exceptions and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts. Develop, modify, and communicate the short- and long-range demand plan to Supply Planning. This role functions as the pivotal communication point for supply and service constraints. Track Forecast KPIs including bias, accuracy, and forecast value add. Use these KPIs to drive improvements. Lead monthly S&OP process for assigned brands including: maintaining baseline/statistical forecasts, collecting Sales and Marketing forecast drivers, and highlighting changes and drivers in the plan to key stakeholders. Present the exceptions at the monthly meeting and facilitate the process of reaching consensus on the final forecast number. Coordinate all aspects of Demand Planning related to the delivery of projects that support growth objectives, innovation, cost reductions, operational efficiency improvements, and reduce business waste. Generate the new product forecast using the historical substitution and like modeling/scenario planning techniques. Monitor NPD weekly in the first 13 weeks and highlight any variance from forecasts using underlying, documented assumptions to sales/customer/marketing to minimize bias. Model total lifecycle of NPD (i.e., decline phase), working with sales and marketing for replacement strategy of products.
