About the position

The Demand Planner for Supply Chain Operations at The Gideons International is responsible for forecasting demand for Scriptures and other materials to support the organization's global supply chain needs. This role involves analyzing data, collaborating with various divisions, and ensuring inventory levels are optimized to meet the demands of over 185 international countries. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience in demand planning, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data and projections.
• Analyze placement data, inventory levels, and ministry conditions to identify trends.
• Collaborate with various divisions to optimize inventory levels globally.
• Coordinate with National Associations and International Divisions to align projections with distributions.
• Prepare and present regular reports on demand forecasts and inventory status.
• Continuously assess and improve demand planning processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop relationships and facilitate communication between departments for alignment on strategies.
• Assist Global Supply Chain and Logistics with projects and data interpretation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with demand planning and logistics operations oversight.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to provide strategic recommendations.
