About the position

The Honest Company is seeking a Demand Planner to join its Operations department in Playa Vista, California. This role is crucial for creating accurate demand forecasts for all Honest products, requiring strong analytical skills and experience in statistical forecasting. The Demand Planner will collaborate closely with various internal teams to refine forecasts and manage product demand effectively.

Responsibilities

• Create statistical forecasts and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Refine forecasts via consensus and publish the final demand plan into the ERP system.
• Analyze multiple data sources to incorporate key insights into the forecast.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to manage aspects of the demand plan effectively.
• Compile forecast accuracy reports with multiple lag times.
• Manage master data on product variants and transitions.
• Handle promotion demand requests from Sales and Brand teams.
• Coordinate with Supply Planning, Warehouse Ops, Sales, PPM, and Brand to manage unit demands for existing products and new innovations.
• Support new product launches by tracking development timelines.
• Coordinate the creation of pipe and replenishment forecasts based on comparisons.
• Troubleshoot ERP issues and support the development of new tool sets with IT.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of work experience in a full-time demand, supply, or inventory planning role.
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Experience in ERP planning systems.
• Expert level skill in Excel.
• Understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
• Ability to logically prioritize workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with statistical forecasting models.
