About the position

The Demand Planner will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Supply Chain teams to analyze, manage, and communicate all aspects of demand for finished goods and direct materials. This role is crucial for supporting the global supply plan and production schedules, maintaining knowledge of supply chain components, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Support goals and objectives established by Supply Chain leadership, focusing on global demand planning strategy.
  • Create and communicate the global baseline demand forecast, collaborating with Sales and Customer Success Teams for a 12-week consensus forecast.
  • Manage the CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning tool with input from Sales and Customer Success teams.
  • Update and maintain a 12-week demand forecast within SAP for MPS and MRP activities.
  • Propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement and demand forecast accuracy.
  • Collaborate with departments to execute seasonal demand changes, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Work with procurement to assess direct material availability and out of stock situations.
  • Provide reports and KPIs related to demand planning activities.
  • Communicate important changes in the demand forecast cross-functionally.
  • Contribute to the S&OP meeting and support S&OP as needed.
  • Attend sales and customer meetings to provide input and solutions for demand forecast gaps.
  • Support operational and supply chain project work as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields required.
  • 3+ years' experience in a Supply Chain or Demand Planning role, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Email.
  • Supply Chain Management or Demand Planning Certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills to organize data for analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent planning, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in SAP and/or CCH Tagetik Supply Chain Planning tool preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the food industry.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes, statistical forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Ability to problem solve and provide strategic solutions quickly.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work without close supervision.
