About the position

The Demand Planner at Xylem plays a crucial role in monitoring materials throughout the production cycle, preparing reports, analyzing supplier capabilities, and supporting new product introductions. This position requires effective planning and coordination to manage customer demand and optimize production schedules while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current material control standards and maintain basic reports.
• Analyze supplier capability and participate in make/buy studies and cost analysis.
• Create integrated project plans and schedules for the supply team's capital and development projects.
• Support the planning and coordination of new product introductions and assess the impact on production schedules.
• Manage scheduling based on customer demand, service levels, and inventory plans.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of successful Demand Planning/Production Planning experience.
• Fluency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Project, and Excel.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and negotiate to meet critical timelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline (Business, Supply Chain, etc.).
• ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification(s).
