About The Position

The Demand Planner at The Vita Coco Company is responsible for creating and maintaining the consensus demand plan across various levels, utilizing statistical models and inputs from Sales, Marketing, and Finance. This role ensures alignment with the company's financial goals and involves collaboration with multiple departments to analyze trends and improve forecast accuracy. The position is based in New York City and reports directly to the Demand Planning Manager for North America.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management
• Comprehensive knowledge of retail operations, forecasting technology, inventory management, and supply chain management
• Proven ability to conduct complex quantitative and statistical analyses
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field with statistical analysis or engineering focus
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills (both oral and written)
• Strong Project Management Skills in a high-paced environment
• Deep knowledge and experience in Demand Planning modules, experience using Anaplan is a major plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Self-motivated team member with strong problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chain management

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer & item level forecast to drive the monthly execution of supply chain planning across multiple brands
• Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze trends in SKU and customer performance
• Understand significant business drivers at key customers to identify opportunities for growth and risks
• Align S&OP forecast as a direct input into financial and operational plans
• Monitor and maintain accuracy of data input into planning software (Anaplan)
• Evaluate and document market responses for new products to develop qualitative forecasts
• Prepare, report and present demand planning KPIs and work with cross-functional teams to improve performance
• Exhibit strong business acumen and financial discipline when analyzing the business
• Communicate opportunities and risks to management proactively
• Compare Operational forecasts to financial forecasts and explain variances
• Lead resolution of demand/supply imbalances and assess customer base changes
• Collaborate with Supply Planning, Logistics, and cross-functional teams on product transitions
• Maximize customer fulfillment while minimizing working capital
• Support cost reduction efforts across the Supply Chain
• Create, maintain, and improve forecast templates and demand planning workflows
• Lead/support operations related and ad-hoc projects
