About the position

The Demand Planner for Design Group Americas is responsible for developing and maintaining a 12-month rolling forecast for assigned customers and categories. This role involves analyzing sales data, market trends, and collaborating with internal sales teams and key customer representatives to create accurate sales forecasts. The Demand Planner will track key performance indicators related to forecasting and participate in consensus meetings to align on demand planning strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a 12-month rolling forecast for assigned customers/categories.
  • Track key forecasting KPIs such as fill rate and forecast accuracy on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Participate in Monthly Demand Planning Consensus meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams and key customer representatives to develop the collaborative forecast.
  • Assemble and analyze data pertinent to creating the sales forecast, including historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and POS data.
  • Establish and utilize best practices in creating forecasts using statistical models and software tools.
  • Make recommended adjustments to forecasts based on changes in demand and market trends.
  • Work with Sales and Inventory Planning to develop an inventory allocation plan when necessary.
  • Act as a lead contact with Sales and Inventory Planning to determine product availability or timing of new promotions or opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or other related field or equivalent combination of education and analytical experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience forecasting imported and manufactured SKUs preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Experience with Demantra a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly shift priorities.
