About the position

Sunrun is seeking an experienced Demand Planner to enhance demand planning and inventory management processes. The role focuses on creating and maintaining Demand/Supply Plans, managing inventory across all branches, and ensuring materials availability to support installation schedules. The Demand Planner will collaborate with various business units to refine forecasts and optimize material flow, while also mitigating the impact of excess inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and effective setup of Oracle attributes for material replenishment alignment.
  • Collaborate with Business Units on refining materials forecasts.
  • Develop and improve materials planning processes in an Oracle ERP environment.
  • Track and manage inventory performance across all Sunrun Branch locations.
  • Ensure materials availability according to Branch Stock Plans while driving inventory level reductions.
  • Optimize material flow and efficiency through continuous improvement of inventory management strategies.
  • Mitigate P&L impact of excess and obsolete inventory through analysis and lead disposition processes.
  • Collaborate with Business Units, Project Management, and Purchasing on milestone-based procurement activities.
  • Analyze and manage min/max planned material and safety stock levels.
  • Act as the escalation point for materials issues in support of Branch operations.
  • Support field service and warranty material needs.
  • Coordinate requisitioning and supply of material that may be stocked out or require substitutes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Demand Planner or similar role in a build-to-order environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in MRP execution and material management systems.
  • Experience in an ERP environment preferred.
  • Successful track record in materials operations and implementation.
  • NPI Product Transition experience.
  • Advanced-to-Expert level spreadsheet skills for analysis.
  • SQL experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a systems outlook.
  • Expert analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Concise communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to execute on multiple projects within timelines.
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and initiative to implement improvements.
  • Team player able to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
