About the position

The Demand Planner at Newell Brands is responsible for forecasting demand across various customers and product lines. This role aims to develop accurate forecasts that enhance service levels while minimizing inventory investment. The Demand Planner will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams, utilizing strong analytical and communication skills to report findings to the executive team.

Responsibilities

• Maximize forecast accuracy at the item and category level.
• Develop long-term plans to guide company demand projections.
• Generate reports to identify market trends and track key metrics to predict customer order behavior.
• Develop item level and category forecasts using customer data, POS, shipment history, upcoming promotions, and new product rollout data.
• Take a key role in the Sales and Operations Planning process.
• Work with Sales and Sales Planning to develop promotional plans.
• Collaborate with Brand and Sales Planning to develop new product forecasts.
• Build relationships with customer planning teams while collaborating on forecast and supply.
• Develop a rolling 12 to 18 month forecast and present findings in monthly DRM meetings.
• Maintain system data and verify all information uploaded into the ERP system.
• Track and report forecast accuracy by item.
• Support company information requirements through completion of account forecasts, customer service reports, and special requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience using forecasting systems.
• Experience in a consumer product environment.
• Previous experience with ERP systems is required; SAP experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on the Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and understand large volumes of data.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

• CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
