About the position

The Demand Planner at Arthur Schuman Inc. plays a crucial role in managing and facilitating the demand planning process to align with the sales and operations plan. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Demand Planning & Analytics, this position is responsible for developing accurate supply and demand plans, improving statistical forecasts, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the right products are available at the right time. The role also involves contributing to the rollout of S&OP processes and utilizing integrated planning tools.

Responsibilities

  • Generate a consensus forecast by collaborating with Sales and Marketing to obtain accurate demand information.
  • Review historical sales trends and prepare forecast data using statistical models.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to reconcile variances and refine forecast models.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on new product development and seasonal demand forecasts.
  • Communicate forecast changes with supply planning to ensure alignment.
  • Develop and maintain monthly demand and supply requirements using Excel and planning tools.
  • Provide insights on potential supply/demand imbalances and engage the organization to resolve them.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly S&OP meetings and reach consensus on the Supply/Demand/Inventory plan.
  • Facilitate the S&OP process with manufacturing and supply chain functions.
  • Issue reports for the S&OP cycle, including accuracy and CI opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, planning, or order fulfillment.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of experience supporting multiple manufacturing site locations.
  • Deep understanding of John Galt Atlas and Sage X3 tools.
  • Experience working with constrained plans in ERP systems.
  • CPG experience.
  • APICS Certification.
