The Demand Planner works in collaboration with the Planning and Merchant team as well as Cruise Line Retail to achieve financial objectives in their areas of responsibility. In the Supply Chain Management aspect of the role, the Demand Planner is responsible for developing sales demand forecasts by style and location/voyage, along with various stock variables such as method of replenishment, safety stock, vendor lead times, and more, using the TXT demand planning system. This process yields an inventory/receipt plan that maximizes inventory productivity by location to achieve desired financial sales, profit, and cash objectives. The Demand Planner will analyze and develop forecast data by reviewing historical sales trends and researching demand drivers, collaborating with Planning, Merchandising, and Cruise Line Retail teams on promotional events/products to ensure alignment and deliver maximum sales potential. Additionally, the role requires evaluating all reporting, including potential lost sales, overstocks, and projected storage concerns, and making decisions on appropriate actions such as adjusting order quantities or redirecting merchandise. Communication and collaboration are key components of this role. The Demand Planner must identify and communicate any style/program opportunities to the Merchant and Planning Manager, lead weekly meetings with the planning team to discuss strategies and priorities, and ensure that all new merchandise allocation delivery dates are communicated to the planning and merchant team. The position also involves reviewing operational sales and inventory targets, analyzing sales trends, and collaborating with Logistics on outbound product flow for enhanced speed-to-market initiatives.
