About the position

The Demand Planner at Schwan's Company is responsible for producing operational forecasts for an 18-month horizon to support the Food Service Team. This role involves collaboration with the Global Supply Chain and Business Unit Sales teams to execute sales plans and address supply/demand gaps. The Demand Planner will analyze forecast performance, review historical sales trends, and provide timely updates to Supply Chain partners.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly consensus process for assigned business unit(s) for an 18-month outlook.
• Prepare and present analyses of forecast performance to management as needed.
• Create, develop, and produce demand forecasts.
• Review historical sales trends, marketing, and financial forecasts; prepare forecast data; and evaluate forecast results.
• Categorize internal demand stream information according to demand patterns.
• Input sales and marketing intelligence for each operating unit for use in forecast systems.
• Work with sales organizations, national sales accounts, marketing, and related forecasting and planning groups.
• Provide timely updates and analysis to Supply Chain partners to identify scenario planning opportunities.
• Complete all required education and training and participate in the implementation and development of new forecasting software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 0-4 years of related experience in forecasting or demand planning.
• Understanding of project management processes and supply chain principles.
• Knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word.
• Basic understanding of JDA/Blue Yonder, IRI/Nielsen, and related data exchanges.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Analytical with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and create budgets; intermediate financial analysis skills.
