About the position

The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting demand for products or services, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This role involves collaboration with various departments to develop accurate demand forecasts that support production and inventory planning, ultimately balancing supply with demand to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and inputs from various departments.
• Use statistical tools and software to model demand and identify potential variances.
• Continuously review and refine forecasts based on sales, marketing initiatives, and external market conditions.
• Collaborate with inventory management teams to determine appropriate stock levels that minimize excess inventory and stockouts.
• Analyze and suggest improvements for inventory turnover and service levels.
• Work with sales, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate promotional activities, seasonal variations, and customer insights into demand forecasts.
• Serve as a liaison between the supply chain and other departments to ensure alignment on product demand and availability.
• Track and report key demand planning metrics, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels.
• Provide data-driven insights to management to support strategic decisions and improve demand planning processes.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in demand planning technology.
• Propose and implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or related field.
• 3+ years in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory management roles.
• Proficiency in demand forecasting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Logility, Arkieva) and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
