About the position

The Demand Planner position at an industrial motion controls products manufacturing company involves participating in the forecasting cycle and overseeing the tactical forecasting process. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement supply chain strategies that support business growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include demand forecasting, inventory management, and performance monitoring throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for various time horizons.
• Review historical sales trends and research demand drivers to prepare forecast data.
• Develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast accuracy.
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile variances and refine forecast models.
• Interact with sales, marketing, and commercial finance to understand demand forecast drivers.
• Utilize a collaborative approach to ensure accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
• Maintain the Demand Planning software (SAP) as the primary forecasting tool.
• Provide input to the Supply Management team for inventory strategies on existing items and new products.
• Coordinate customer action plans with supply planning.
• Participate in defining the annual operating plan sales forecast.

Requirements

• Korean speaking proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, data processing, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated proficiency in statistics and forecasting methods.
• Experience in building relationships with internal and external customers.
• Ability to communicate technical data to a non-technical audience.
• Collaborative work style with a customer-focused approach.

Nice-to-haves

• Supply chain background or experience preferred.
• Knowledge of finance, sales, marketing, and other supply chain functions.
• Preferred experience with SAP demand planning software.
• Experience in forecasting and mathematical trend analysis.
