About the position

The Demand Planner at NIBCO INC. is responsible for preparing and analyzing demand and forecast data for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) customers. This hybrid position allows for remote work two days a week and requires collaboration with VMI Coordinators to maintain inventory balance, service levels, and costs. The role also involves supporting NIBCO's Monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Meetings through various analyses and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Utilize SAP/APO Demand Planning software to generate forecasts for VMI Customers.
• Incorporate resulting forecasts into the zone setting process for VMI Customers.
• Communicate monthly forecast data to VMI Coordinators and work with them to ensure appropriate balance of service levels and inventory.
• Analyze monthly demand patterns, trends, and other business information to develop monthly demand forecasts.
• Prepare reports and presentations for monthly S&OP Meetings.
• Participate in monthly S&OP Meetings.
• Provide service level exception reporting.
• Perform various demand analysis for key customers and/or product families.
• Assist Manager of Demand Planning in further demand planning projects.
• Utilize SAP and BW to perform various data analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business, information technology, mathematics, or related field.
• SAP and BW knowledge and experience required.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, analytical, and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• General understanding of factors influencing demand and supply planning required.

Nice-to-haves

• APICS/ASCM knowledge preferred.
