About the position

The Demand Planner is responsible for setting sales planning, managing goals and performance, and driving operations and business through the sales of photovoltaic (PV) modules and systems. This role involves analyzing market trends, managing sales and operations data, and supporting strategic planning for market expansion and revenue growth. The position is based in Irvine, California, and requires up to 20% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze PV market trends and customers.
  • Set and manage business goals for the US market.
  • Monitor overall performance and conduct in-depth data analysis.
  • Manage Sales and Operations data and extract insights.
  • Support management decisions with internal and external research and analysis.
  • Assist with communications with Hanwha Q CELLS headquarters and sales entities.
  • Assist in strategic planning for market expansion and revenue growth.
  • Develop effective demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances.
  • Provide input to the supply planning organization for inventory strategies.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate action plans with Sales and Operations.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Head of Residential Business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Previous sales and/or sales planning experience preferred (3+ years).
  • Strong business analysis skills, including strong MS Office knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze and react to market trends and competitive pressures.
  • Bilingual in Korean is a must.
  • Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time.
  • Comfortable interfacing outside the company, including executive presentations and negotiations.
