About the position

As a Demand Planner at Caleres, you will play a crucial role in managing and forecasting demand for our renowned footwear brands. This position involves creating and managing demand forecasts, tracking actual demand against forecasts, and ensuring inventory management aligns with purchasing decisions. You will leverage analytical skills and tools to optimize inventory and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage the style/color level consensus demand forecast and buy plans to meet MOQ requirements.
• Review actual demand vs. forecasted demand and adjust buy plans as appropriate.
• Leverage/maximize tool capabilities to ensure forecasting accuracy.
• Ensure purchasing decisions are aligned to Open to Buy.
• Manage the creation, sizing, and ongoing maintenance of purchase orders to optimize inventory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business related field preferred.
• 3+ years of Merchandising or Planning experience required.
• Problem solving mindset and analytical skills required.
• Financial management and business acumen skills required.
• Excellent communication (oral & written) skills required.
• Microsoft Excel experience required.

Nice-to-haves

• SAP and/or IBP experience preferred.
