About the position

The Demand Planner at Mattel HQ, Inc. is responsible for aligning, submitting, and tracking the performance of the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) customer shipments plan for local fulfillment in the EMEA region. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including Commercial, Financial, and Operational teams, to ensure accurate demand planning and forecasting. The Demand Planner will also participate in the Sales and Operations Planning process and contribute to best practice sharing within the Supply Chain team.

Responsibilities

  • Align, submit and track performance of the DTC customer shipments plan for local fulfillment in EMEA.
  • Partner with the Commercial team to reflect the demand plan based on commercial launch dates, product availability, and seasonality.
  • Work closely with the Demand Planning team to propose, test, and trial system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Master Data Management to ensure items are properly created for demand signals.
  • Track, communicate, and address outages in forecasting performance for EMEA DTC Demand plan.
  • Gather information and reports to support Business cycles (S&OP, Financial Forecasts, S&OE).
  • Work with Portfolio Management to confirm product availability timing for accurate customer shipments.
  • Identify process issues and work with departments to address them, communicating and escalating as necessary.
  • Participate in Supply Chain responsibilities during the Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • Provide a point of contact for demand forecasting inquiries from the commercial and finance teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning with a good understanding of Forecasting, Materials Requirements Planning, Distribution, and Supply Planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate changing priorities and include adequate stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a holistic approach to support the business.
  • Ability to represent the department in meetings and correspondence with a professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility in time management and resilience to track product supply within the supply chain.

Nice-to-haves

  • Anaplan system knowledge preferred, but not mandatory.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range between $65,000 and $90,000, determined by work location, skills, and experience.
