About the position

As a Demand Planner at SharkNinja, you will play a crucial role in our North American business, contributing to our mission of positively impacting people's lives every day. This position is based in Needham, MA, and is integral to delivering a highly reliable forecast that drives insights and enhances customer service while minimizing costs. You will be responsible for managing statistical modeling to project future demand and integrating market intelligence to identify anomalies in forecasting models. Your recommendations will be vital in improving forecast quality and ensuring that we meet our customers' needs effectively. In this role, you will partner closely with Commercial Sales and Finance teams to deliver a reliable monthly forecast. You will interpret business drivers that affect forecast and supply chain performance, communicating their impacts clearly. As a subject matter expert, you will lead monthly consensus meetings, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed. Additionally, you will be part of a transformative initiative, collaborating with leadership to develop and implement supply chain planning processes that enhance our planning maturity and accountability around key supply chain inputs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand forecasting within organizations known for their reliable forecasts and best-in-class supply chains. You should be proactive and action-oriented, with a strong desire to make a positive impact. Your experience should include 2-5+ years in demand planning or supply chain roles, with a proven track record of developing reliable forecasts that incorporate various factors such as baseline modeling, event lift, pricing elasticity, and competitive activities. Familiarity with demand planning systems like JDA/RedPrairie is essential, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to use data effectively to achieve targeted results. You will need to exhibit strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to reconcile various data elements. A strong work ethic and a commitment to follow through on commitments are also critical attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage statistical modeling to project future demand and integrate market intelligence.
• Identify anomalies in forecasting models and recommend improvements to forecast quality.
• Partner with Commercial Sales and Finance to deliver a reliable monthly forecast.
• Interpret business drivers affecting forecast and supply chain performance and communicate impacts.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for monthly consensus meetings.
• Develop and lead the implementation of supply chain planning processes to improve planning maturity.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability around maintaining key supply chain inputs.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of demand planning or supply chain experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Successful track record of developing reliable forecasts incorporating baseline modeling, event lift, pricing elasticity, and competitive activities.
• Experience with JDA/RedPrairie or other demand planning systems is required.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data (KPIs) to achieve targeted results.
• Experience with demand modeling, demand shaping, and allocation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to accuracy.
• Strong business and financial acumen with a proactive approach to risk management.
• Demonstrated capability of partnering with and influencing across functions.
