About the position

The Demand Planner at Kimberly-Clark plays a crucial role in managing and developing forecasts for assigned brands, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and long-term plans. This position involves collaborating with various internal teams to enhance forecast accuracy, drive continuous improvement in forecasting processes, and communicate insights effectively across the organization. The Demand Planner will leverage analytical skills to identify root causes of forecast errors and influence decision-making at multiple levels within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development of the full 0-18 month forecast for assigned brands.
  • Develop a 0-3 month near term forecast by partnering with key internal customers.
  • Develop a 4-18 month long term forecast by understanding current and future year plans.
  • Identify forecast error root causes through data analysis and create ad-hoc reports to improve accuracy.
  • Lead the monthly Demand Review to communicate perspectives and assumptions to cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the S&OE process to ensure delivery of forecast.
  • Participate in the monthly Product Review meeting to gather and align on forecast inputs.
  • Collaborate with BU Sales and customer teams to ensure changes in retail plans are accurately accounted for in the volume forecast.
  • Lead the development of a future year annual forecast as part of the AOP process.
  • Drive continuous improvement of volume forecasting processes and tools.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Finance or Customer Development.
  • Experience with accurate business forecasting and quantitative business analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data extraction and reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong user of Excel and ability to explain insights from ad-hoc reporting.
  • Team player with strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Development, Shopper Research, and Marketing concepts.
  • Knowledge of K-C planning process.
  • Proficient in data access and analytical tools like Microsoft Suite, SAP, TPM/A4O.
  • Cross-cultural and interpersonal skills.
