About the position

At Glazer's Beer & Beverage, we pour our hearts into what we do, which is to sell beer for a living. The Demand Planner will play a crucial role in our operations by analyzing sales trends, market data, and inventory levels to create accurate demand forecasts. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and experience with data analysis tools, as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support the company's sales and operations planning (S&OP) process. The Demand Planner will be responsible for utilizing advanced statistical and forecasting methods to predict future product demand, continuously monitoring forecast accuracy, and adjusting models as needed to improve reliability. In this role, the Demand Planner will collaborate with inventory management teams to align demand forecasts with inventory levels, identifying and mitigating risks of stockouts or overstock situations by adjusting forecasts and recommending inventory actions. The position also involves monitoring product life cycles and making recommendations for phase-in/phase-out strategies. The Demand Planner will work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to incorporate promotional activities, new product launches, and market shifts into the demand planning process. Participation in S&OP meetings to present forecast data, discuss variances, and align on demand planning strategies is also a key responsibility. The Demand Planner will communicate forecast insights to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment across departments, and lead efforts to refine demand planning processes and tools to enhance forecast accuracy and operational efficiency. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in demand planning and data analytics is essential, as is the implementation of new technologies and methodologies to improve data analysis and forecasting capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to develop accurate demand forecasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the beverage or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, JDA, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
