About the position

The Demand Planner at Intellipro Group Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of product launches through effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. This position is a 6-month contract based in El Segundo, CA, with a pay rate of $33 per hour. The Demand Planner will be responsible for managing supplier selection and relationships, ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain are optimized for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This includes overseeing the quoting process, managing supplier performance, and addressing any potential lead-time and capacity issues proactively. The role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with various teams to align on business needs and priorities. In addition to supplier management, the Demand Planner will prepare key financial performance updates and communicate these insights to internal stakeholders. This involves sharing product supply strategies and purchasing results, as well as collaborating with the operations team to drive process improvements. The position also entails managing all aspects of pricing for ongoing and launch SKUs, ensuring that all pricing updates are accurately reflected in the system, and resolving any discrepancies related to invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, along with strong Excel skills and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to flawlessly execute product launches.
  • Manage supplier selection and relationships from pre-assessment to implementation based on lead time, pricing, reliability, and quality.
  • Timely manage the quoting process, providing optimal costs via RFQ process.
  • Collaborate with development and supply chain teams to ensure proper design and servicing parameters are set up and delivered.
  • Proactively address potential lead-time and capacity issues during implementation.
  • Track and report project progress and support launches from conception to shipment.
  • Archive required emails/documentation to track RFQ and Business Award aligning with requirements.
  • Conduct benchmark activities such as tooling capacity, supplier capacity, and safety stock assessment.
  • Prepare major highlights, results, and business needs for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide key financial performance updates (PPV, Trend, Pre-Budget & Budget).
  • Communicate needs and priorities for strategy construction to category and cross-regional teams.
  • Share product supply and purchasing-driven results with brands and other key internal stakeholders.
  • Align with operations team to drive process improvement exercises for efficiency.
  • Manage all aspects of supplier's operational and financial performance, including pricing for ongoing and launch SKUs.
  • Validate all new/updated pricing for suppliers managed and update the system accordingly.
  • Oversee vendor relationships to ensure optimal cost, quality, safety, and timeliness.
  • Support resolution of invoices and payment discrepancies with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Contribute to the development of tools to improve efficiency and accuracy of processes.
  • Manage tooling PO requests and track progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a similar discipline.
  • Purchasing experience is a plus.
  • High degree of financial and analytical aptitude is a must.
  • Strong Excel skills are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
