About the position

The Demand Planner at Fagron is responsible for planning and managing demand processes to ensure that the business meets customer service level targets while minimizing operating costs and optimizing stock levels. This role involves accurate demand forecasting, inventory management, and collaboration with various departments to address supply chain challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Establish accurate demand forecasting and maintain the inventory/forecast system (Slim4) to optimize inventory levels and product availability.
  • Follow up on Slim4's functionalities to ensure accurate demand forecasts and inventory replenishments.
  • Generate new requirements for finished goods and communicate them with Supply Planning.
  • Participate in S&OP meetings and review the product portfolio with sales colleagues.
  • Coordinate with Supply Planning, Procurement, Production, and Quality to mitigate issues related to shortages and delays.
  • Develop planning processes for make to order and make to stock products.
  • Identify excess, obsolete, and end-of-life inventories monthly and recommend corrective action plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels and propose actions to mitigate inventory write-offs.
  • Manage and solve supply and inventory plan variances, including unexpected demand, ensuring appropriate communication with relevant teams.
  • Create and maintain reports that communicate information against established business objectives.
  • Develop, understand, and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in Demand Planning and maintain up-to-date knowledge.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Admin, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Master user-level knowledge of major ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), with D365 experience preferred.
  • Advanced user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and ERP software.
  • At least 5 years of related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Slim4 inventory management system.
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting.
