About the position

As the Demand Planner at HydroPeptide, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an annual buy plan that aligns with the company's sales strategies. This role involves collaboration with various teams to forecast sales, manage inventory levels, and ensure alignment with monthly sales goals. You will analyze item performance and stock levels, present findings to management, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms. The position requires a blend of analytical skills, creativity, and strong communication abilities to effectively manage inventory and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an annual buy plan that supports sales strategies.
  • Forecast sales and ensure inventory levels align with monthly sales goals.
  • Analyze item performance, stock levels, and sales data weekly.
  • Present findings to the Director of Product.
  • Work with warehouses and accounting to schedule future purchase orders.
  • Negotiate costs and minimum order quantities with suppliers.
  • Manage inventory flow by assessing months of supply and lead times.
  • Communicate with Marketing and Sales teams about future initiatives.
  • Deliver monthly purchase order reports to management.
  • Provide detailed reporting on inventory status and sales performance.
  • Identify potential business risks and create mitigation plans.
  • Execute assortment strategy based on customer needs and industry trends.
  • Support lifecycle planning activities and SKU rationalization.
  • Mentor and manage associate-level planners.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of finished goods and component management experience in a food, beauty, or CPG company.
  • Data-driven and analytical with the ability to create action plans from data.
  • Professional communication style with strong presentation and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, MS Teams).
