About the position

The Demand Planner at Mattel Sales Corp. is responsible for executing key business processes and collaborating with sales, marketing, and global supply planning to create an accurate demand plan. This role involves developing demand planning forecasts, utilizing Anaplan software, and driving reporting KPIs to enhance inventory management as part of the Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning (SIOP) process.

Responsibilities

  • Execute key business processes to drive an accurate demand plan.
  • Develop demand planning forecasts and tools.
  • Drive reporting KPIs such as inventory turns.
  • Utilize various data points to create incremental, seasonal forecasts for toys and SKUs.
  • Manage and improve existing processes to support the SIOP process.
  • Build constructive relationships with sales, marketing, and manufacturing teams.
  • Present ideas and directions to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Communicate clearly in various presentation settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of related experience, or a Master's degree and 1 year of related experience.
  • 2-3 years' experience in demand planning, forecasting, or quantitative analytics.
  • 1-2 years' experience in inventory management and SIOP implementation.
  • Experience leading large meetings with cross-functional leaders, including executives.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience using Anaplan or similar demand planning systems is a plus.
  • Experience with Six Sigma.
