Guardian Industries is seeking a Demand Planner in Auburn Hills, MI. The demand planner is responsible for building a consensus demand plan that combines statistical forecasts, sales intelligence, and other relevant inputs. This role requires the individual to develop a deep understanding of the products and the glass market, maintain relationships with sales and marketing counterparts, and apply critical and analytical thinking to drive demand while maximizing inventory and service levels. In this position, you will develop and maintain a monthly demand plan, supporting both short-term and long-term demand planning activities. Understanding demand drivers and incorporating intelligence into the forecast through collaboration with others is essential. You will review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. Additionally, you will add value to tool-generated statistical forecasts and assist in continuous improvement efforts to advance demand planning and forecasting process capabilities. The principles of Assumptions Based Planning, Exceptions Management, and Risk & Opportunities management will be utilized in your work. Collaboration with supply planning is crucial to ensure that demand and supply actions are integrated effectively.
