About the position

The Demand Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in the Supply Chain & Purchasing department, focusing on the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This position is responsible for ensuring that demand forecasts are accurate and align with business objectives, facilitating collaboration between sales and global business units, and maintaining optimal stock levels. The analyst will also contribute to financial budgeting and reporting, ensuring that inventory management aligns with sales forecasts and market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute periodic reviews of the S&OP process to ensure it meets stakeholder needs.
  • Calculate and track S&OP performance metrics to assist management in evaluating business objectives.
  • Execute the Demand Planning process within the S&OP for the given business unit.
  • Achieve consensus for demand forecasts by facilitating collaborative planning with regional Sales and global demand planners.
  • Interact with Sales to review historic sales trends and market conditions.
  • Evaluate forecast results, reconcile variances, and refine forecast models.
  • Develop and monitor statistical forecasting models and demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation.
  • Provide input data to the regional S&OP Team for effective production and inventory strategies.
  • Prepare and maintain reports relevant to the demand planning process.
  • Coordinate the Master Production Schedule in alignment with the S&OP process.
  • Monitor and ensure minimum stock levels and product availability.
  • Maintain stock levels according to sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Ensure the viability of stocks according to expiry dates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Five years of related work experience in demand/supply planning and collaborative process management, preferably in food or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong knowledge and methodology with an ERP system, preferably Oracle or SAP.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with knowledge of statistical and regression analysis.
  • A strong understanding of supply chain concepts and their application in S&OP processes.
  • Experience in supply chain management, with certifications such as CPIM or APICS preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in a second language, preferably Spanish or French.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing and Accounting concepts.
