About the position

The Demand Planner at GreenPoint Ag is responsible for developing inventory replenishment models and forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels that meet customer demand. This role involves analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and other statistical metrics to prepare accurate inventory requirement forecasts, creating buying plans, and recommending order quantities. The position requires continuous monitoring of sales and inventory trends to adjust stock levels accordingly, while also collaborating with vendors and buyers to facilitate ordering and inventory deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Develop inventory replenishment models and forecasts to make purchasing decisions.
• Analyze historical sales, pricing, demand data, market trends, and other statistical metrics to prepare inventory requirement forecasts.
• Create a buying plan and recommend order quantities and pricing to guide inventory replenishment and new purchasing.
• Continuously monitor sales, inventory, and buying trends and adjust stock levels to meet demand.
• Maintain data and analytics to refine forecasts, generate reporting, and improve replenishment processes.
• Work with vendors and buyers to facilitate ordering, pricing, and inventory deliveries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness or related field is required.
• 2-4 years of direct experience in demand planning or inventory management is highly preferred.
