About the position

The Demand Planner at Sensient Technologies is responsible for the forecasting and collaborative demand planning process for the North American regional business. This role focuses on assembling and assessing key inputs such as sales history, trends, and marketing estimates to develop an accurate operational demand plan that ensures high service levels and efficient inventory management over a planning horizon of 36 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate synchronized forecasting activities to support business goals.
• Support the implementation of demand planning strategies to improve forecast accuracy.
• Execute the demand forecast process by gathering inputs and consolidating information.
• Maintain data in Logility / JDE by collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Planning, Operations, and Finance teams.
• Assemble and assess commercial forecasts based on market information, sales history, and customer trends.
• Review forecasts and key performance indicators, conducting trend analysis and recommending revisions for continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage processes to ensure data integrity and seek improvements in related processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a technical field (chemistry, math, etc.).
• 3-5 years' experience in demand planning.
• 2-5 years' experience in a commercial customer-facing role is desired.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Skilled in Logility or other statistical forecasting packages and JDE.
• Excellent communication, analytical, quantitative, and prioritization skills.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.
• CSCP or CPIM certification preferred.
