About the position

The Demand Planner will be responsible for optimizing inventory allocation and supporting the execution of strategies within the retail division. This role involves creating accurate inventory flow forecasts, executing allocation strategies, and analyzing data to identify risks and opportunities. The Demand Planner will also promote sustainable processes and maintain effective communication with retail partners regarding inventory status and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Optimize inventory allocation and support end-to-end strategy execution for the retail division.
• Create accurate inventory flow forecasts that align with business strategies.
• Execute allocation strategies to optimize inventory utilization and capitalize on opportunities.
• Suggest and implement exception management activities to ensure customer demands are met effectively.
• Analyze data quantitatively to identify risks, monetize new opportunities, and optimize inventory deployment.
• Promote the Strengthening Outlet initiative by working cross-functionally on optimal inventory allocations and sustainable processes.
• Maintain effective communication with retail field partners regarding product in-stock status, floorset on-time rates, and inventory challenges.

Requirements

• Technical proficiency with computer software tools and the ability to quickly learn new ones (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAS).
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of three years of experience in a retail environment (preferably).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal, and marketplace information.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
