About the position

The Demand Planner role in Plano, TX is a contract position focused on supply chain analysis and demand forecasting. The primary purpose of this role is to manage and analyze inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure optimal inventory management across various channels. The position requires collaboration with business operations and senior management to communicate insights and drive consensus on inventory strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, cross-check, and communicate business output between Biz Ops and counterparts.
  • Load AP2 Forecast including buffer management & logic based on leadership direction & consensus.
  • Analyze weekly Purchase Sales Inventory (PSI) to identify demand fluctuation by accounts & products, requiring weekly demand shaping/cleaning prior to cutoff timing.
  • Consolidate and publish weekly AP2 reports including week-over-changes, risks, and financial implications compared to sales plans and targets.
  • Manage system-based tools that provide real-time information regarding sales, order forecast, and channel inventory; extract data for channel inventory analysis and reconciliation.
  • Monitor daily/weekly updates of product arrival schedules from factories to execute weekly Purchase Order Confirmation to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Support/lead weekly aging product monitoring and meetings to ensure depletion plans and minimize aging inventory across all channels.
  • Assist with supply chain projects and perform ad-hoc analysis as business needs arise, including reporting and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with team and provide backup when necessary.

Requirements

  • Preferred degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or Engineering.
  • Strong analytical, data management, and computer skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office Suite.
  • SAP experience is helpful.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building with senior management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Tableau.
