The Demand Planner position at SPECTRAFORCE is a critical role that contributes to the success of the client by creating accurate demand plans that support customer service targets while balancing the fiscal responsibilities of inventory within the supply chain. This role requires a deep understanding of statistical forecasting models and the ability to utilize demand planning tools effectively. The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing forecasts based on historical order data and adjusting these forecasts to accommodate promotions, new product introductions, and supply chain strategies. In addition to creating demand plans, the Demand Planner will compare these plans against business and financial objectives to identify and resolve any discrepancies through Demand Reviews as part of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The role also involves reporting on forecast accuracy and identifying root causes for any inaccuracies, recommending actions to improve these metrics. In situations where sales or category input is unavailable, the Demand Planner will independently provide demand plans that meet supply chain planning requirements and uphold customer service levels. The position requires collaboration with various departments, utilizing sales, finance, and marketing information to drive demand plans. The Demand Planner will also recommend improvements to supply chain processes that impact customer service and inventory levels, and create demand models that influence customer and product mix. The ability to adjust consensus plans based on consumption forecasts, backlog, and supply constraints is essential for success in this role.
