About the position

The Demand Planning & Inventory Director at Lenovo is responsible for leading a global demand planning organization within the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG). This role focuses on improving demand planning accuracy and inventory management to support the International Sales Organization (ISO) and ISG. The director will oversee a team of demand planners, ensuring effective forecasting and resource management while collaborating with sales and supply chain teams to align supply with demand.

Responsibilities

• Full people-management responsibilities for a team of demand planners
• Accountable for team's forecast accuracy and resource management
• Use research and analysis to predict consumer demand and manage inventory
• Partner with sales and ISG business units to create and maintain demand forecasting models
• Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast demand and identify growth opportunities
• Work with sales and supply chain managers to match supply with demand and resolve inventory issues
• Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks for forecast accuracy
• Prepare and present forecast and inventory metrics to management teams
• Review and improve forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches
• Provide technical guidance and advice based on expertise

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant degree
• 10+ years previous experience in supply chain
