About the position

The Demand Production Planner at Georgia-Pacific's Hummingbird® facility in Phoenix, Arizona, is responsible for managing production planning and scheduling in a fast-paced environment. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including production, shipping, and sales, to ensure efficient operations and effective communication. The planner will utilize advanced digital printing technology and contribute to a culture of innovation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture based on the Principled Based Management (PBM®) Philosophy.
• Update production run dates in Plex to maintain accurate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) data.
• Purchase and manage production materials inventory.
• Support management of production materials suppliers.
• Effectively communicate with the team using verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Know and understand all identified Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and proactively execute action plans to close the gaps.
• Travel to other Georgia-Pacific sites for training and knowledge sharing collaboration.

Requirements

• Experience in production, planning and/or scheduling.
• Experience using SAP or other production planning system.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
• Ability to travel per needs of the business.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in supply chain (including planning, scheduling, raw material, procurement, receiving, and shipping).
