About the position

The Demand Sales Planning Manager is responsible for managing the unit sales demand signal for Royal Canin US & Eukanuba, reporting directly to the Director of Customer Supply Chain. This role leads the demand forecasting process through collaboration with various functional teams, promoting unbiased forecasting and transparency. The manager is expected to uphold a structured monthly S&OP process and act as a role model for discipline within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Leads monthly meetings with Sales leadership teams to gather information related to Risks and Opportunities to incorporate in the forecast.
  • Facilitates monthly S&OP+ Demand Management Reviews (DMR's) with Business Unit General Managers, Sales Leadership Teams, Marketing, Finance, CPFR & Supply Chain teams.
  • Collaborate monthly with Regional Demand Planning & CPFR to develop a rolling 26-month period forecast based upon the information received from Sales, Marketing, and Leadership Teams.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of assigned Business Units with overall US Business and Regional Team.
  • Partner with business units and cross functional teams on strategy setting, annual execution planning and customer joint business planning.
  • Perform monthly and/or ad hoc analysis for Business Units and functional teams that influences business decisions.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to develop sales forecast for new products, discontinuations and future innovation pipeline.
  • Demand Advisor influencing functional business decisions through analytics presented to leadership and functional support teams.
  • Works with Regional Demand Planners to develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation that monitors shipment performance versus the forecast and determines root-cause to improve accuracy.
  • Ability to influence internal organization around business, customer, and market opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BA/BS in a Business, Supply Chain or a Business-related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of business experience in CPG industries, working with customers in Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing Services or other similar function, previous Demand planning experience is most preferred.
  • Solid understanding of FMCG industry and proven S&OP+ process experience (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills & experience- tell the story through data.
  • Fluent in base systems including MS Excel, PPT, Visio, PwrBI, experience within industry forecasting software (Kinaxis/Manhattan/OMP) preferred.
