About the position

The Demand Supply Planner role at Ariat is a full-time contractor position focused on managing fixtures, displays, and marketing materials. The planner will forecast demand and inventory needs by collaborating with various departments, including Sales, Finance, and Marketing, to create accurate forecasts and insights. This position is crucial for recognizing demand signals and ensuring that supply meets the anticipated demand effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Demand forecast monthly to align supply needs within budget
• Drive sales and in-stocks to ensure adequate supply and optimization of assortment
• Create seasonal builds and forecasts for Fixture Products and marketing materials, and reduce excess inventory
• Review sales forecasts against inventory goals/needs with Finance and Management
• Demonstrate continuous improvement in forecasting techniques, method, and approach
• Comprehend and establish best practices in demand planning tools to support the organization's goals
• Consult with Retail Marketing and evaluate recommendations with consideration of strategic initiatives
• Partner with Sourcing to evaluate inventory of POP and displays on a biweekly basis
• Compile all information needed for orders, as well as approve quotes and field approvals to cross functional teams where appropriate
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, or Merchandise Planning
• Experience in retail planning is a plus
• BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, or Business preferred
• High proficiency in Excel
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with numbers
• Strong written and communication skills
• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Flexible and adaptable to changes and nuances
• Knowledge of overall Supply Chain and its impact on individual work
• Self-starter who takes initiative and accountability
• Strong ability to construct and refine processes
• Exhibits curiosity and a passion to learn
