About the position

The Denials Management Supervisor at RAYUS Radiology is responsible for analyzing, tracking, measuring, preventing, and managing denials within the revenue cycle management framework. This role involves collaborating with various departments to enhance processes and reduce preventable denials, ultimately improving financial outcomes for the organization. The position is fully remote and requires a commitment to overseeing a team dedicated to denial management and prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor reports and workloads to ensure timely addressing of denials.
  • Work with the Accounts Receivable Manager to develop and monitor goals for the denials team.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the denials team to reduce preventable denials and days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Contribute to the reduction of denials by addressing complex cases and identifying root causes for process improvements.
  • Act as a liaison to various departments to streamline processes.
  • Assess processes, identify gaps, and implement efficient workflows.
  • Prioritize workload focusing on high-impact tasks that enhance bottom line results.
  • Analyze trends in denials and coordinate with other RCM leaders to manage and resolve issues.
  • Measure and report on denial trends in collaboration with other RCM leaders.
  • Identify root causes and develop processes to resolve them.
  • Perform audits to identify opportunities and trends related to denials.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of medical business office supervisory experience, preferably in medical collections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Graduate of a medical billing program.
  • Medical coding experience and/or certification.
