Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service with an excellent chairside manner.
• Be conscious of the doctor's schedule and assist with efficient patient flow.
• Assist office and doctor in maintaining patient records and informed consent documents.
• Assist dentist in utilizing proper four-handed dentistry techniques, observing universal precautions.
• Maintain patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.
• Chart existing dentistry and current conditions in a computerized dental chart.
• Capture diagnostic digital radiographs as ordered by the dentist.
• Take impressions and assist with lab tasks as needed.
• Maintain dental operatories organized and clean, ensuring appropriate instruments and supplies were available.
• Sterilize and/or disinfect instruments, handpieces, and ancillary equipment.
• Comply with office policies and procedures.
• Assume the standard of care related to infection control; all OSHA guidelines & safety are upheld at the station they are assigned.

Requirements

• At least one year of chairside Dental Assisting experience.
• EDDA certification is preferred.
• X-Ray Certification.
• Ability to work full-time Monday-Friday.
• Denticon experience is a PLUS.
