About the position

The Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and that patients receive high-quality care. This part-time position involves a range of responsibilities from preparing dental instruments to educating patients about oral hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Prepare and maintain dental materials and supplies
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using Epic or similar software
• Perform dental coding for billing purposes
• Provide patient assessment and triage

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred
• Knowledge of dental documentation and coding
• Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for dental prosthetics is a plus
• Experience working with pediatric patients is desirable
• X-Ray License required
• RDA preferred
• Fluent in English and Spanish (Required)
• 1 year of dental assisting experience (Required)
