About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant with front office experience to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate should have some front office experience and play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Perform chairside duties, including taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays).
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure infection control protocols are followed, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and billing processes.
  • Implement aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent contamination.
  • Answer phones and use patient communication software.
  • Explain and understand insurances and treatment plans.
