About the position
The Dental Assistant II, Lead position at La Clínica de La Raza involves providing high-quality dental care in a community health setting. Responsibilities
- Manage patient flow to maximize access and service by ensuring dental exam rooms are stocked and ready.
- Prepare patients for dental examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist the dentist during treatment procedures, including taking dental x-rays.
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Record treatment information in patient records using Electronic Dental Records system.
- Perform general office duties such as scheduling appointments and collecting payments.
Requirements
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language.
- Mid-level administrative experience in a dental setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
