About the position

As a Dental Assistant at Hawaii Family Dental, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of general dentists, specialists, and hygienists in delivering high-quality dental care. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that patients receive care in a safe, efficient, and compassionate manner. You will act as an extension of the providers, actively listening to patients and looking for opportunities to serve them as if they were your own family. This role requires you to take high-quality X-rays, which are essential for dentists to accurately diagnose and treat dental conditions. In addition to taking X-rays, you will be responsible for properly sterilizing and setting up treatment rooms to create a safe environment for both patients and team members. Recording important notes, such as vital statistics and treatment plans, is vital to ensure that the dental team has a solid reference when patients return for follow-up visits. You will also be expected to anticipate the needs of your providers by handing them instruments during procedures, which will help them work more efficiently and shorten appointment times. This not only maximizes patient comfort but also allows them to continue with their day without unnecessary delays. We are looking for someone who has a strong desire to help patients live healthier lives and is eager to grow both personally and professionally. You will be part of a dynamic team that values teamwork, camaraderie, and fun, all while providing exceptional dental care to our community.
