Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
• Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
• Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records
• Maintain patient records and update medical information as necessary
• Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a dental office or similar medical setting
• Proficient in using dental office systems (e.g., Epic) and familiarity with medical terminology
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of medical receptionist duties, including handling patient service inquiries at the front desk
• Familiarity with maintaining medical records in compliance with privacy regulations
