About the position
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our eco-friendly dental practice. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during various treatment procedures and ensure excellent patient care. This position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, with a focus on teamwork and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental work
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Prepare the work area for procedures
- Assist dentists by handing them instruments during procedures
- Keep patients' mouths dry by using suction hoses or other equipment
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare
- Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
Requirements
- Proficiency in Dentrix or Eaglesoft software
- Ability to take vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for dental restorations
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques
- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Experience in maintaining dental records and documentation
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus
- Specialization in pediatric dentistry is advantageous
