Professional Dental is seeking experienced Dental Assistants to join our team at the Riverton office. You will select and set up the necessary instruments, equipment, and materials for procedures, and sterilize instruments according to health regulations. Assisting the dentist during procedures, undertaking lab tasks as instructed, and providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions will also be part of your duties. Maintaining a clean and well-stocked dental room, scheduling appointments, and keeping accurate patient records are essential tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our practice. Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients to the dental office
  • Prepare patients for treatments and checkups ensuring their comfort
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment, and material needed
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist as needed
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions

  • Maintain accurate patient records

Requirements

  • Open Dental knowledge
  • Certificate in Dental Assisting from an accredited College
  • Certified Dental Assistant, or a Registered Dental Assistant
  • +2 years experience as a Dental Assistant (required)
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations
  • The ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable
